Cultivating an unique Permaculture movement

Together, we are cultivating not just food,
but a regenerative future.

Permaculture is more than just a design philosophy — it’s a way of being in the world. 🌿

Founded by Bill Mollison, an Australian ecologist, teacher, and farmer, permaculture was born from his deep disillusionment with the destructive impact of modern industrial agriculture.

He witnessed first-hand the damage caused by monocultures, chemical-dependent farming, deforestation, and the mass production of poisons in the name of "progress".

In contrast, Mollison drew inspiration from Indigenous cultures around the world — communities living in deep relationship with the land, practising methods of growing, harvesting and stewarding ecosystems that were regenerative and balanced over generations.

He realised that the answers to our modern ecological crises often lie in ancient, land-based knowledge.

Permaculture invites us to return to designing with nature, not against it — to build systems that sustain both human needs and the Earth’s ecosystems.

At its heart, permaculture is grounded in three powerful ethics:

🌱 Earth Care – regenerate and protect the living world
🧑‍🤝‍🧑 People Care – nurture healthy individuals and communities
🔄 Fair Share – set limits, redistribute surplus, and ensure future generations have enough

Rooted in observation, collaboration, and ecological wisdom, permaculture helps us create a more resilient, just, and beautiful world — one thoughtful step at a time.

What is permaculture?

EARTH CARE

Permaculture mimics natural patterns to foster sustainability and restore soil health.

By employing regenerative practices, we enhance biodiversity, allowing all life to thrive. This approach aligns with the Earth Care principle, promoting a harmonious ecosystem for future generations.

This emphasises the importance of nurturing oneself, others, and community as a foundational principle for creating sustainable systems.

It recognizes that healthy ecosystems are inseparable from healthy human societies, and therefore, advocates for ethical resource distribution, fair share, and the development of strong social structures that support well-being, cooperation, and resilience.

This principle encourages us to consider the social implications of our designs and actions, fostering a culture of empathy, respect, and responsibility towards all beings.

FAIR SHARE

The Fair Share principle of Permaculture emphasises the importance of sharing resources and benefits equitably.  It encourages us to ensure that everyone has access to what they need, promoting sustainability and balance within our communities.

By practicing Fair Share, we create a healthier environment for, fostering cooperation and mutual support.
